My 366 project in 2008

A photo a day for a year. Tried it last year only to let it drop when things got busy. So…an unfinished challenge poking my inner perfectionist in the eye and telling her to wake up and do this. I don’t see myself as a photographer. I just love the way a camera allows me to capture the tiny, miraculous things I see around me. Capturing the everyday, and as the quote says far better than I – letting the “spiritual, unbidden and unconscious grow up through the common.” As long as it’s not me that has to grow up.

To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury; and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable; and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasion, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony.
