18/366 [Ouch]

Not there walking past on Tuesday morning but most definitely there this morning. Along with the (considerable) remains of the three big pine trees that used to stand to the side of the path. The ten year drought is taking its toll and big, old trees are shedding leaves and branches in the battle for survival. The local council considers pines a noxious weed so any tree that drops a branch, with the potential to kill any of the walkers or bike riders underneath it, and causes such a crater in the asphalt is clearly doomed. Along with its friends.
