48/366 [Windswept]

Windswept

King tides and monsoonal rain have taken their toll on the Sunshine Coast beaches. There is only a strip of sand between the sea and the dunes. Sea foam rolls in on the waves and the wind blows it into sand coloured piles that vibrate as if inhabited by a living thing. Late in the day the beach is deserted and the wind is whipping the waves. They crash and recede, a regular rhythm that soothes my heart.
