Strawberry Jam

It’s been a very long time but this summer I decided I wanted to make jam. These apricots were my first attempt and I have to consider it successful as there is not one jar left. I did give a few as gifts but the bulk of it was consumed by us. At the market this afternoon, I realised that the soft apricots in the display box were pretty much the last of the season. Tomorrow summer ends. Strawberries were cheap too, so a few punnets of those created this bubbly, fragrant, vivid result. Then it boiled over twice and as I tried to clean the sticky mess from my cooktop I remembered why I stopped making jam.
