83/366 [Chook fruit]

Chook fruit

As children, we all had to wait until we came back from Easter church services before we even caught sight of the scent of an Easter egg. My own family loved an Easter Egg hunt and we held them all over the countryside depending on where we might be holidaying at the time. When the weather was against us, we hid them in the house. I’d always come upon a well-hidden one months later and laugh that we’d managed to hide it so well. Now I give them and their partners one large egg each. And put out a bowl of little ones on the dining table. This morning, I just couldn’t resist hiding a few. Just for old times sake, you know?
