89/366 [Big orange Taxi]

With apologies to Joni Mitchell, this big orange taxi did not take away my old man. But there is enough concrete around this sign to almost qualify it as a paved paradise. The little dots, that my brain joins together to recognise the word, remind me of the miles of punch tape created to be read by the massive computer that helped run the rope factory where I worked one year in my university holidays. At a celebratory lunch for a girl who was getting married the next weekend, some colleagues collected the punched holes and threw them over her as confetti. Sadly, the tape was magnetic and caused an immediate and unsightly allergic reaction on the poor bride’s skin.
