93/366 [Can’t say I wasn’t warned]

Sailor's warning

This was what greeted me as I walked out of the pool this morning around 7.15am. The Bureau of Meteorology had issued a state-wide gale warning yesterday afternoon – a consequence of the remnants of Cyclone Pancho and a cold front meeting up in the Bight. The old “sailor’s warning” of a red sky came quickly to mind, but not for long, as the sheer beauty of these stunning colours in this sky just took my breath away. I should have paid attention. I might have been better prepared for what came later in the day.
