180/366 [Girls, Girls, Girls]

Yesterday was the last day of the Australian tax year and so accountants everywhere were holding their end of financial parties all over Melbourne. We were included in the invitation this year and we went off to this theatre restaurant for a celebratory drink and dinner with a floorshow. Three well known local entertainers (of more mature age these days) belted out a musical tribute to the music of the sixties and seventies, together with the appropriate costume changes over a more than two hour show. In retaliation for threatening to replace it after it’s major heart surgery last week, my car chose this evening to retaliate. The switch on the driver’s door broke which meant the Computer That Controls Everything thought that the door was open. I had to take all the globes out of the inside lights so we could drive safely to our destination only to realise when we arrived that I would not be able to lock the car. After some fiddling about I was able to jam the switch in the closed position and as I finally stomped out of the cold towards my first glass of wine I let the car know its days were really numbered.
