216/366 [Late night Readings]

After a long Sunday lunch in the city, I meandered back to my car and began my journey home which takes me down the wonderfully commercial Lygon Street. It is familiar territory. I grew up not far away and my high school and the first university I attended are within easy walking distance. It is a very different shopping strip to the one my uni friends and I would frequent on Sunday nights when the college cook had a night off and we were looking for a cheap dinner. It’s greatest attraction these days, as far as I’m concerned, is the Borders store on one side of the road and its Good Old Australian competitor, Readings on the other. Their stores and offerings are quite different but I love them both and a good couple of hours can quite magically vanish when I am in the mood for a browse. And if I can find a parking spot. Which I clearly managed tonight.
