253/366 [My life as a muse]

I was eleven, with four younger siblings. We were at an exhibition and a sketch artist was attracting the crowd. My normally frugal parents paid for four portraits, deciding the baby would not sit still enough to capture. I was chronically shy, horrified of being the centre of attention at any time. I remember the fear and embarrasment surging through me in equal amounts. I guess that’s why I couldn’t smile.
