257/366 [Not quite dinner by candlelight]

Today was that day. The one that tells you clearly that winter is over. There may be cold days ahead but today the temperature was in the mid-twenties. It was still 23C when we met our friends for dinner. The atmosphere in this converted fire station was subdued but warm with white tablecloths and linen napkins. No one wanted red wine, it was the perfect night for a New Zealand Savignon Blanc. Good company, terrific food, chilled wine. What more can you hope to get from your Saturday night?

  1. Oh God, we’ve had no summer and winter is just starting!
I’m coming to live with you. It’s official.
