316/366 [Vintage bowls]

I had the camera with me all day but somehow there was no one moment at which I thought “There’s a good photograph”. Not in the office, or around the kitchen or at tennis tonight. So, with only 15 minutes to deadline, I was reduced to looking around somewhat wildly until my eyes settled on these porcelain bowls on the kitchen bench. These are three from a set of six, very Japanese in style and they belonged to my late mother-in-law. I never saw her use them and found them in the back of a cupboard when I was cleaning out her house. I use the middle one to hold my vitamins in the morning and each time I pick it up I remember Maria. She’d be happy about that.
