Day 6/2012 {Framed by a doorway}

It’s Friday the 6th of January and tradition says it’s unlucky to leave Christmas decorations up after the Feast of the Epiphany or Twelfth Night. Which is commonly thought to be today. It’s complicated in that the counting of the days and nights of Christmastide has been a changing feast over the years and those who count the nights as coming before the days would argue that Twelfth Night was actually yesterday. Another school of thought is that the formal end of the Christmas season is actually Candlemas which is not until February 2nd. Which, given my commitment tendency to procrastination, would suit me rather well.

But, I’m on a bit of a decluttering mission in advance of some serious house refurbishment plans for the coming year, so I get the step ladder and start with these wreathes at my front door. Look for them again around 330 days hence.
